The United Confederacy Military Corp was formed shortly after the Great Breach. With expansion of humanity to the stars, the unification of governments and the military was necessary to create order in newer colonies and settlements. As the Followers came into the picture, it only strengthened the bond of the nations. It was initially headed by the supervisor of Project Warden, Jeremy Glover, having had a great influence on the United States military. When his time came to a close, his grandson, Gerard Glover, took up the mantel of Grand Admiral, maintaining the precedent of supervising Project Warden. The event that has been noted as the singularity that brought the need for the UCMC was the trip of the USS Requiem into the stars. In the months leading up to it, there was immense opposition from organized groups, which have remained a serious problem as the UCMC has held strong. Some colonies reject the aid of the Corp, but it is difficult to remain prosperous without their resources. The history of the UCMC has not been too clean either, with politics playing a large role in the dealings as well as corrupt countermeasures enforced for Follower attacks. From defending resources over citizens, the UCMC has been a cost-benefit system for all, and there are many colonies saying that its time has run out.
